Irvin David Yalom (1931)

American Psychiatrist and novelist – is Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University, an existentialist, and accomplished psychotherapist. The author of many books e.g. ‘The Theory and Practice of Group Psychotherapy’ (1970, 1975, 2005), ‘Existential Psychotherapy’ (1980), ‘Love’s Executioner and Other Tales of Psychotherapy’ (1989), ‘When Nietzsche Wept’ (1992), Yalom popularized existential thinking to a wider audience.
